How do I request a quote?

Navigate to the “Hire Jess” page and complete my inquiry form. This form will provide me with information related to the scope of your project; size, design, installation, deadline, etc. You’ll also be able to upload any design inspiration photos or logos. Please provide as much detail as possible. A follow up call may be necessary in order to provide a quote.

What is the turnaround time once my inquiry is submitted?

All new inquiries will receive a response within 2 weeks. Once we’ve had the opportunity to connect about your project, the turnaround time for the signs’ completion can vary from 4-12 weeks. This is largely dependent on the season and scale of the project.

*As a small artisan sign shop, we are typically unable to process rush requests.

Do you design logos or create brand identities?

Hired Hand Signs offers logo and brand design services on a limited basis. Our focus is on sign painting and sign design. We are able to faithfully reproduce your existing logo, reference your brand identity to create custom signage specific to your location, or create something entirely from scratch specifically suited to your aesthetic.

In certain circumstances we may recommend that you work with another designer on your brand identity. We are lucky to know several talented graphic designers and are happy to make recommendations should the need arise.

What is the typical cost for a sign from HH?

An investment in signage is one of the most important investments in your business. I approach my projects with care and precision, whether it is a unique design or an existing logo, a sign from Hired Hand Signs is one of a kind and custom made for you.

When you are ready to reach out to Hired Hand Signs about signage, please be prepared to discuss your project budget and anticipate that $1,500 is our project minimum. You will be presented with a customized proposal based on your specific needs.

Once we have finalized the design and scale of the project, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to schedule the work. . The remaining balance is due upon the projects completion unless otherwise specified.

*While my focus is on small business signage, I do accept a small number of commissions each year based on availability. Commission pricing takes the above factors into consideration when providing a quote.

Will I need a sign-permit?

This can vary from town to town, but it’s likely you might. Your town’s website and/or building department will be able to provide you with more information.

*If a sign permit is required, Hired Hand Signs can assist with securing the permit for an additional fee.

Will Hired Hand Signs handle installation?

We prefer to manage installation of physical signage to ensure it’s installed by a licensed contractor for safety and longevity. Other arrangements can be coordinated on a case by case basis.
